SPORT PERFORMANCE – EXERCISES FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS AND OTHER ATHLETES
Exercises designed by: Tuomo Kärki, Head of Training, International Ice Hockey Centre of Excellence. Please notice that many of these exercises demands good co-ordination and muscle condition. Make sure that you have enough space around you when making the exercises for athletes. Focus on balanced skating movement and long slide. Do not rush. Relax the extended leg at the end of sliding before reaching the other end. This way adductors will not overload during skating.
